Sponsored Programs Administration (SPA), also known as the Grants Office for NYU Langone Medical Center, is dedicated to supporting and enhancing the education, service and research programs of the NYU School of Medicine. The SPA team works to assure compliance with the University, Medical School, sponsor and government policies and procedures.

The Division of Laboratory and Animal Resources (DLAR) contributes to the advancement of healthcare by providing the finest animal care and support to NYU Langone Medical Center scientists who utilize animals for research purposes.
The NYU School of Medicine (SoM) Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) is responsible for approving risk assessment and the biosafety containment levels for experiments.
The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) assures the welfare, well-being and proper care and use of all vertebrate animals used for research and educational purposes at NYU Langone Medical Center.
The Institutional Review Board (IRB) at the NYU School of Medicine is responsible for helping to protect the welfare and rights of all human research participants, offering personalized guidance and support to the research community through its services, education review and supervision of all human projects.

The Office of Clinical Trials (OCT) provides NYU Langone with administrative services related to the testing in clinical trials of new pharmaceuticals and medical devices, including both industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies.

Focuses on increasing the value of NYU emerging technologies and therapeutics to enable successful licensing and partnerships with existing and startup biopharma companies.
The Office of Industrial Liaison (OIL) promotes the commercial development of NYU technologies from its Medical Center and Washington Square campuses into products to benefit the public, while providing resources to the University to support its research, education and patient care missions. In addition, OIL facilitates research collaborations between NYU researchers and industry on projects of mutual interest.

The Office of Research Compliance provides support and education for faculty members, students and staff with conducting scientific research in accord with regulatory requirements and ethical standards. The Office of Research Compliance has three main responsibilities: research compliance oversight, education and information clearinghouse.

The Office of Research Education (ORE) provides NYU Langone researchers with a variety of educational tools and opportunities for growth, helping to improve research practices and collaboration, as well as increase employee job satisfaction and development. Research Finance maintains the Grant Management Suite and monitors External Financial Reporting (EFR) to maintain accurate fiscal data and supporting documentation for all grants and contracts.
